J.C. Calderón is a Yale trained licensed architect with 20 years experience in the construction field. A registered architect in New York and New Jersey, he is recognized as an Accredited Professional for LEED, the green building certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). His work in residential and commercial construction is focused on sustainable design practices for home owners and companies to improve energy and environmental design. J.C.'s specialty credential as administered by the USGBC is in Building Design & Construction (BD+C).Founder and CEO of J.C. CALDERON ARCHITECT PC in New York, J.C. has designed buildings in both North and South America and has spoken at forums in Europe and the Caribbean. He recently lectured in a graduate seminar at Yale. The studio seeks to improve public and private space in both sustainable and poetic ways.
